DPF Cleaning

Diesel particulate filters (DPF) have been fitted to diesel cars as standard, for many years now and for them to work effectively, like most auto components, they require regular maintenance.

The DPF captures and stores soot from the exhaust in order to help with the car’s emissions. At some point, there will be too much soot in the filter and it will need to be emptied or “burnt off” for the filter to continue being effective. A warning light will come on in your dash to alert you. You may also notice a reduction in power, and that you’re using up more fuel than usual.
